The brand wanted a comic to promote the relaunch of their Slipstream sneakers model. Their request was straightforward: an urban setting, centered around the subway, aiming to capture the sensation of perpetual motion.
I came up with a love story. The brand's influence is evident in the environment, reflected in the attire and background, while the audience follows the protagonist—a pensive young adult navigating a busy day. Throughout the narrative, the protagonist shares their inner monologue with the reader, daydreaming about the girl they couldn't muster the courage to speak to.
The illustration was co-released with the brand and remains the post with the highest engagement on the brand's Instagram page to date.
